Homeless women and girls

Many women and girls are led into homelessness by violent partners they cannot escape. Once homeless, they endure further violence. Often, their only means of survival is through the protection of a street family. It is crucial that we stand with these victims of violence and provide them the support they urgently need.

OUR IMPACT PROJECT

During our outreach events, we make it a priority to ask individuals in need about their most essential requirements. We then provide these requested supplies to help alleviate the burden of homelessness. Many individuals struggle to afford anything beyond food and water, often lacking the means to purchase necessary hygiene supplies. This can result in serious physical health issues such as skin conditions, dental problems, and higher infection rates, while also significantly impacting mental health. These challenges contribute to the stigmatization of homeless individuals and worsen their overall outcomes.

Where We Serve

Most of our outreach events take place in Downtown Phoenix, especially outside Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS). We also extend our efforts to areas around Burton Barr Library and various spots along the Grand Canal. Our goal is to help at least 100 people at every outreach event, focusing our efforts where the need is most urgent.
